Summary

The world's most popular record book is back with thousands of new categories and newly broken records, covering everything from outer space to sporting greats via Instagram, fidget spinners and all manner of human marvels。 Inside you'll find hundreds of never-before-seen photographs and countless facts, figures, stats and trivia waiting for you on every action-packed page。 Guinness World Records 2019 is the ultimate snapshot of our world today。

Plus, this year we celebrate the incredible "Maker" movement with a special feature devoted to the inventors, dreamers, crafters and creators who devote their lives to amazing record-breaking projects such as the largest water pistol, a jet-powered go-kart and an elephant-sized hamburger (think you could eat a whole one!?)。 We take a sneak peek into their workshops to explore these epically big builds, and ask them what inspires them to go really, really large!

And if you like creating, and you like LEGO(R), then you'll love our "Making History" pages that use the world's most famous interlocking plastic bricks to illustrate and explain an important record-breaking object - such as the Statue of Liberty or the Apollo mission's Saturn V rocket。 We examine their designs, structure and technical specifications in fully illustrated and colorful, poster-style pages。

Finally, you can jump into both the making and record-breaking action with a "Do Try This At Home" section。 Challenge yourself and your family with five fun record-breaking maker-inspired records you can attempt involving origami, balloon sculptures, ring pulls and rubber bands。 Who knows, your creation might just make it into the record books!

Very useful and informative book about the World Records set in 2019。

Some really amazing records and feats of this year。 However its not accurate on some of its records but it still doesn't take away how much interesting feats are in this book。 Overall very nice book that almost feels like a tradition reading。 Some really amazing records and feats of this year。 However its not accurate on some of its records but it still doesn't take away how much interesting feats are in this book。 Overall very nice book that almost feels like a tradition reading。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Interesting and motivated book to get motivation to get a world records。 I really liked the tips to records you can beat on the last pages in books, like making a origami or paper bombs。 And beating a world record should not be easy, so it is not really unreachable records。

I forgot everything in this book。

As usual, this book was about insane almost impossible records to beat。 Did you know that #love was the most widely used hashtag on Instagram?

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Lots of the records in this book are really fun and interesting, some of them actually confused me on how the people did these stunts, such as eating a whole 1 inch pizza in 21 seconds。 These types of books always interest me because I'm into stuff like biggest or smallest object in the world, or fastest time, etc。 Overall, I really liked this book and I'm bummed I have to give it back to the library。 Lots of the records in this book are really fun and interesting, some of them actually confused me on how the people did these stunts, such as eating a whole 1 inch pizza in 21 seconds。 These types of books always interest me because I'm into stuff like biggest or smallest object in the world, or fastest time, etc。 Overall, I really liked this book and I'm bummed I have to give it back to the library。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 The book is pretty good。 There are many world records that I didn’t know existed that I knew from here like the biggest yo-yo, or the largest Rube Goldberg。 I also liked the standalone sections for a few things like the LEGO section where they talk about some of the big builds that were made like the Millenium Falcon from Star Wars。
